Wet Woods
All the recent rain has made the Wood a soggy place, so the recent path improvements have made a vast difference to the experience of visitors. These improved paths will also help to protect the Wood from the erosion caused by people trying avoid quagmires, by leaving the paths and trampling through drier areas nearby. By doing this, the path becomes wider and the areas of mud greatly enlarged.

Elsewhere, there has been much activity under the bridge as the contractors tackle the brickwork and abutments. Unfortunately, their progress cannot be viewed as the under section of the bridge has been enclosed in a protective screen.
